"Your work is going to fill a large part of your life, and the only was
to be truly satisfied is to do what you believe is great work.
And the only way to do great work is to love what you do.
If you haven't found it yet, keep looking. Don't settle."

Why Career Counseling?

Career choice significantly impacts personal happiness, lifestyle, and spiritual, emotional, and physical well-being.  The happier we are with our careers, the happier we are in life.  And the more we love our job, the more material success we will likely achieve.

Over the lifespan, most of us Americans spend the majority of our lives working at our jobs.  But career choice does not define who we are; it is an expression of who we are and who we want to be.

Therefore, with so many important aspects of our lives greatly affected by our career choice, would it not be worthwhile to invest in learning how to choose the most satisfying, meaningful, and personally suitable career?  How to maximize our job performance in our current work for optimum success?  Or how to foster a mindset that advances our career?

According to the National Career Development Association, career counseling is the establishment of a professional counseling relationship for the purpose of helping clients work through career, work-related, and personal development concerns beyond those in career planning.

Career counseling is not simply career planning; it addresses your psychological and personal concerns related to work performance, career, and personal development issues.

Why Me?

As a licensed and certified career counselor, I specialize in helping individual clients achieve their career goals while addressing psychological and personal issues that often hinder their progress.  I use various formal assessments and counseling techniques that help clients define and achieve their career goals based on their values and current stage of life.

For instance, I assist many of my high school clients with selecting their best-fit college major or find their niche.  I help college-age clients design a specific action plan around their post-secondary or post-graduate career goals and successfully manage the often-stressful transition from college life to work life.  And I equip established professionals with tools to adapt and advance within their current career or advance to a new one.

If you’re seeking an innovative and qualified professional career counselor, you’ve come to the right place.

I have over 10 years of experience providing clients with career counseling and guidance both at the high school and collegiate levels.  I am a licensed clinical therapist credentialed as a Global Career Development Facilitator and a Board-Certified Telemental Health Provider offering online career counseling services in a convenient, secure, and effective manner.
